Payment Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2026

This policy explains how Thorium PCs handles payment, what methods we accept, and the safeguards we apply to protect customers and the business from fraud.

Accepted methods

We accept major United States credit and debit cards processed through our payment providers. Additional methods, such as bank transfer for qualifying orders, may be available on request. Cryptocurrency, wire-only, and cash-equivalent instruments are not supported unless expressly authorized in writing.

Currency and pricing

All prices are shown in United States dollars. International cardholders may see a converted charge at the rate set by their issuer, plus any foreign-transaction fee the issuer charges. Thorium does not control conversion rates or issuer fees.

Adaptive pricing disclosure

Thorium prices are adaptive and change with the underlying hardware market. A price shown prior to checkout is informational and does not create an obligation at that amount. No future price is guaranteed. The amount displayed and authorized at the moment you complete checkout is the final, binding price for that order, and Thorium does not offer price matching or retroactive adjustments against earlier or later pricing.

Just-in-time manufacturing disclosure

Systems are built after purchase. Components are sourced at the time of order rather than drawn from held inventory. As a result, build and shipment timelines may vary with supplier availability and transit. If a specified component becomes unavailable after payment, Thorium may substitute an equal-or-better part under the substitution provisions of the Terms of Use or, at the customer's election, cancel the order and issue a full refund.

Pricing transparency

Thorium does not engage in speculative markup, price hedging, or artificial stabilization. Prices reflect real hardware market conditions and change as components move up or down. Public price tracking is provided on each product page as an intentional transparency measure.

Authorization and capture

Placing an order authorizes Thorium to charge the payment method for the full order amount, including tax and shipping. We typically capture the authorization at the time the order is confirmed. If we are unable to fulfill the order we will refund the captured amount.

Fraud prevention and verification

We screen orders for fraud. We may request additional verification (identity documents, proof of billing address, or authorization confirmation) before releasing an order. Orders that cannot be verified within a reasonable time may be canceled and refunded. Repeatedly failed verification, charge reversals executed without first contacting us, or use of payment instruments the purchaser is not authorized to use may result in an account restriction.

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact Thorium before initiating a chargeback. Most disputes are resolved faster and more favorably through direct communication. Thorium reserves the right to dispute chargebacks with full documentation, including communication records, shipment tracking, and delivery signatures.

Taxes and duties

Applicable United States sales tax is calculated at checkout based on the shipping destination. International customers are responsible for all duties, tariffs, VAT, brokerage, and import taxes levied by the destination country. These amounts are not collected at checkout and are not refundable by Thorium.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Refund timing depends on your issuer and typically posts within 5 to 10 business days of release. Partial refunds reflecting restocking fees or damage are described in the Return Policy.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Alaska and applicable United States federal law. Federal law supersedes where required.
